Where do I even start? There is so much to Christina and Devin's story.
To begin, they knew each other when they were younger, life happened for the both of them. Somewhere, years down the line they re-connected, and a relationship blossomed that turned into love and admiration and appreciation, even 3,500 miles apart. Yes, for quite some time, they lived apart.... Devin in Scottsbluff, NE and Christina in Hawaii.
Planning a wedding with that much distance can prove challenging, much less deciding what you're doing afterwards; who will move where? 'because we certainly aren't living apart anymore' Devin told me as we went over details of their upcoming day. It was hard for me to imagine that Christina would leave Hawaii to come to Nebraska especially after their wedding (when it was 5 degrees out for their portraits) , give or take.
But, love is love and there isn't anything you won't do for it, although I'm happy to say that the two of them reside where it's always warm *smirk face* (also, jealous).
Besides the cold, Christina & Devin's wedding day was beautiful and quaint. They had only their CLOSEST family and friends by their side, with a small reception at Devin's parents house to follow, where Devin's brother did the whole speech from 'Princess Bride'....it...was....EPIC. He did the voice and the hat and everything, we enjoyed cake and champagne and exchanged lots of laughs.
Christina & Devin ended the night with a private dance in the back yard, with the same smitten look on both of their faces that they began the day with.
I am SO happy for the both of you and ecstatic that you each found happiness in one another <3
Christina's bit about their re-connect:
"So we knew each other from the 6th grade. We're friends throughout high school. I had a crush on him but he never knew. He found me on fb in 2009 and basically followed me on there. When I came to Colorado for my 4th surgery, he reached out to me. He was so sweet and supportive. He asked many times to come down and take me to coffee. I kept trying to put it off. Finally after 6 months I said yes. He met me at Landsdown Arms Pub in Highlands ranch, and that was it. He was standing at the table in a suit with a rose. I felt like I was on the Bachelor. he proposed at the same table six months later..."
*Add like, a bunch of blushing face and heart emojis*
By the way, I'm a die hard Bachelor fan so.....HOW CUTE?! Right?!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
